Many thanks to all who came to Fairmount Park on Sunday the 13th for the main event of our festival. An estimated 20,000 people attended, exceeding our expectations twofold and making it the most successful Sakura Sunday in the history of the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. On Monday, April 7th, the Sidewalk Parade for the 2008 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia took place in the City Hall Courtyard and drew crowds eager to celebrate the arrival of spring alongside performers from Tamagawa University Taiko and Dance.
