The Blossoming Continues

Image
Philadelphia’s trees continue to blossom on schedule as we near the 2008 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. On the first day of spring, we reported the appearance of the earliest cherry blossom varieties, such as okame, and are pleased to add that some of the later varieties have begun to bloom as well. Check along West River Drive and Martin Luther King Drive to view the pink blossoms of trees planted by the JASGP, some of which should now be nearing full bloom.

With the white blossoms expected to spring up during next week, this year’s trees are right on schedule to enrich the splendor and spirit of the 2008 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia. Be sure to check our events schedule and mark your calendar!
